Hergest Croft Gardens

Set in the heart of the Welsh Marches, Hergest Croft has stunning views towards the Black Mountains.  Created over 120 years by the Banks family, the gardens have recently been taken over by Edward and Julia Banks, the fifth generation to be involved in the creation of this unique place.  The collection covers more than 70 acres and includes over 5,000 rare plants, trees and shrubs, as well as more than 90 ‘champion’ trees (comparable to the National Arboretum at Westonbirt).  There are gorgeous flower borders, an old fashioned Kitchen Garden, the Azalea Garden, Maple Grove and Park Wood. From spring bulbs to spectacular autumn colours, this is truly a garden for all seasons.  Tea rooms, gift shop and unusual plants for sale.
