Open Competition Results

Congratulations to the husband and wife pairing for Danny and Kelly White for winning the Kington Pairs Open. They put together a great round of golf.

We look forward to our next events, the Kington 36 hole Open and the Festival of Golf. 

We had a full field for the Spring Open on Sunday 6th March, which was played in a challenging North Easterly wind. There were outstanding scores from some of our low handicap visitors. Clearly the fast running greens suited their eye as they fired in plenty of birdies and the odd eagle.

Well played the winning team from Bridgnorth and Shifnal, an amazing score. We hope everyone enjoyed their day and we look forward to seeing many of you back for our upcoming Open's.

This year we are holding a new Kington Pairs Open on Friday 20th May when the course will be in great condition. Bookings are now being taken, see the details in the Opens section of the website or phone the Pro shop on 01544 230340 Option 1.

The second round of our Winter Series was held in reasonable weather and once again attracted a large field of competitors.

Congratulations to the winning pair of Sam Hinton and Keith Lister, and well played Tom Price and Darren Best from Llandrindod Wells GC who narrowly won the Best Visitors prize.

The final event will be held on Sunday 19th February 2022 and times are now available to book.

The first Winter Series Event took place in glorious weather. A full field of players took advantage of the amazing weather and the great course conditions to post excellent scores.

Well done to all the prize winners and a special mention to Brian Robinson and Tom Shotton from South Herefordshire GC who shot an outstanding Gross 60 better ball for 46 points. The one's to watch for the overall order of merit perhaps?
