From Monday 27th September essential course mainenance will be taking place. The greenkeepers will be hollow tining all greens on 27th/28th and then completing further maintenance during the week. Where possible disruption will be to a minimum and greenkeepers will step aside to allow players to play to the green. By exception this may not be possible and players will be asked to bypass the green.
Winter green fees will come into effect from 27th Sept and further discounted green fees will apply to all visitors if their rounds are significantly compromised.

19th July - Relaxation of Guidelines
Following the latest updates on National Covid Restrictions, England Golf have confirmed that from the 19th of July (Monday) the current 'Play Safe, Stay Safe guidance will be updated.
This will involve the removal of any on course restrictions regarding course furniture and flagsticks etc. The changes are highlighted within the attached document. Obviously this is good news however as a Club we should still exercise caution both on an off the course.
Golf has demonstrated that it is a safe pastime and we have been able to continue playing under challenging circumstances. Recent news has not been encouraging regarding infection levels both nationally and in the local area. We have a number of our members self isolating and it is clear that the pandemic will continue to be part of our day to day routines.
As a club we have a responsibility to our members, visitors and the wider community therefore, we would urge you all to take these next steps with caution. There will still be hand sanitizer available and within the clubhouse we would encourage you all to continue to wear face coverings until you take your seats etc.
Please can you continue to use BRS to make your bookings to play as this has become a useful tool for us to manage the course and provide important data,
The next few weeks will be key in our journey back to normality and we all have an important part to play to ensure that restrictions are not reintroduced by taking the next steps with caution.
Thank you for your continued support
Please continue to Play Safe and Stay Safe!

From the 17th May hospitality venues are able to open to serve food indoors with some important guidelines in place.
The clubhouse has been closed for a number of months and as a club we have taken the opportunity to invest in some major structural and cosmetic improvements so tomorrow will not only be an opportunity to enjoy your food indoors, it will also provide a chance for you to see the great work which has been done to improve our facilities.
Tomorrow however we are still having to operate under guidelines which briefly are as follows:
Clubhouses and indoor hospitality areas may reopen. Groups are limited to six indoors, as you enter, please check in to the venue using the NHS QR code which will be located on tables and at the entrance.
If you are unable to scan the code please use the visitor book which will be located at the entrance.
As you enter the clubhouse you must wear a face covering, and use the sanitiser provided. Please take your seat and a table service system will take and deliver your orders.
A one way system will be in operation however if you are moving around the clubhouse please use your face covering. Full details of the regulations can be found within the England Golf Framework. Below this message you will also find the infographic poster outlining the Play Safe protocols.
Please continue to use BRS to book your tee times.
There are a few finishing touches to be made to the clubhouse and we are hoping to be open as early as possible but please bear with the team who are applying finishing touches and deliveries etc. I am sure you will be impressed with the changes and the quality of finish which is outstanding. We will have an opportunity to thank the members who have volunteered their time so generously over the last few months, in the future grand opening event!
The ladies changing rooms are currently being decorated and will be finished by mid week we also have the final bits of carpet tiling to finish in the entrance hall. We also now have a disabled toilet and this will also be completed in the next couple of days.
I am sure you will have all seen the fantastic coverage and review we have received in the Golf World /Today’s Golfer course rankings for Great Britain and Ireland where we were ranked No 3 in the Top 100 under £60, which is a remarkable achievement. I think we now have a clubhouse which provides an environment that matches our wonderful course.
Please see the previous news post for a copy of the Today's Golfer rankings within which are some first class courses and a great article and photographs of KGC!! Congratulations to all for making this happen!
We have the Mizuno Pairs event on the 27th May, it is sold out with 208 players with tee times from 8.00 through to 3.30pm, another great showcase for the club, good luck to the Kington members who are taking part.
We will keep you updated with further announcements as we get closer to the 21st June. For now, enjoy your golf, enjoy the clubhouse and please bring your carpet slippers!!
