Course Repairs Update - Nov 2017

KINGTON GOLF CLUB -- COURSE REPAIRS UPDATE

The ground staff have done an excellent job in repairing the badger & crow damage on the course, as you may be aware. This has mainly been on the 2nd fairway.

To ensure these areas continue to improve and the turf knits can you please try and avoid taking buggies and trolleys across them. We will all benefit later on and into next season if we protect these areas from 'golf traffic'.

New turf has also been placed on the surround and banks to the 18th green and further repairs will take place around the 1st & 13th greens.Once again can you please try and avoid climbing over or crossing these areas to allow them to repair properly. All of these areas should have been marked as Ground Under Repair - please take relief under Rule 25-1.

Please also be aware fusarium spraying is taking place on the greens at the moment . The 7th green is continuing to do well after the drainage work that was carried out. It shouldn't be too long before it is back in action, though even then it will require work to improve the quality as it is not an immediate fix.

We will keep you informed when it will be back in play. Hope you continue to enjoy your golf and appreciate your patience & efforts whilst these works are taking place.
