Code Of Conduct For Members And Visitors

Kington Golf Club is committed to providing an environment that is free of discrimination, harassment and intimidation for Members, Staff, and Visitors.

All Members and Visitors are reminded that an acceptable standard of behaviour must be maintained at all times both on the Course and within the Clubhouse.

ON THE COURSE

All golfers must :

  • Avoid slow play, apply Ready Golf principles and allow other golfers to play through as appropriate, waving the following group through when searching for lost balls, and maintaining the speed of play by keeping up with the group in front
  • Adhere to the dress code and local rules of the course
  • Demonstrate fair play both on and off the course
  • Always follow established golf etiquette respecting the course, such as repairing pitch marks and replacing divots
  • Show the appropriate respect for fellow golfers and members of the public who may be on Bradnor Hill at all times, which includes not shouting on the course, not misusing equipment ( such as the throwing of clubs ) and not engaging in aggressive behaviour
  • Conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner and not knowingly cheat ( which includes the deliberate manipulation of a player’s handicap ) , or disrespect any of the Staff, Professionals, or fellow players.
  • Switch their mobile phone and other devices to silent mode and only use the phone in an emergency
  • Obey any instructions or restrictions given or imposed by Greens Staff or the Professional.
IN THE CLUBHOUSE

Members and Visitors are reminded that:

  • Any form of discrimination, harassment or intimidation is unacceptable
  • The use of foul or abusive language is unacceptable
  • Everyone using the Clubhouse should be treated with respect
  • Smoking or the use of e-cigarettes or illegal substances and the consumption of excessive quantities of alcohol are not permitted
  • Mobile phones should only be used with due consideration being shown to others present in the Clubhouse
  • All Instructions given generally by Notice in the Clubhouse or to the individual by the Steward or any Member of the Management Committee should be followed.
COMPLAINTS

A complaint about a breach of this Code of Conduct should be made to the Secretary of the Club within 3 days of the matter occurring and will be dealt with thereafter in accordance with the Clubs Disciplinary Procedures.
