THE BLUE BALLS

The latest Blue Balls trip was to Hawkestone Park and was, as always, well organised by Glyn Wictome. The day proved to be top class and the course, well, I guess it was not up to Kington standards - but it is winter!

21 players participated with individual and team prizes. Dave Sayers took first place with 37 points, Second was Phil Gould 34 points, Third Phil Price 33 points, Fourth Terry Weight and Fifth Mike Waygood both with  32 points. The winning team was Terry Weight, Richard Hill and Joe James winning on the back nine from Glyn Wictome, Jim Kelly and Mike Waygood.

CELTIC MATCH

The annual bash between the English and the Welsh took place recently with a win fro Wales - 417 points to 412. Last year there was just one point in it  - to England. Who is taking bets on next years result?

WINTER RULES

Terry Weight has joined the happy band of golfers who have achieved the ultimate golf shot - his was at the fifth hole where his 6 iron found the cup for his first "hole in one"

And finallyA nursery school pupil told his teacher he'd found a cat, but it was dead.

'How do you know that the cat was dead?' she asked her pupil.'Because I pissed in its ear and it didn't move,' answered the child innocently.

'You did WHAT?' the teacher exclaimed in surprise.'You know,' explained the boy, 'I leaned over and went 'Pssst' and it

didn't move !!'
