Monday, 23 March - Guinot Launch, Room Of Beauty
Niki Scott used the club facilities - including the new projection & sound system - to launch her new Guinot Range of skin care & treatments to her business Room Of Beauty.  Over 90 ladies attended and enjoyed the club house facilities very much indeed.

Shirley provided delicious canapes showcasing her undoubted catering skills.

Niki very kindly donated the money from the raffle to the Joint Captains' Charity, St Michael's Hospice, which raised an amazing total of £420.
Thank you Niki.

Defibrillator being installed for the Club this month

The Social & Fund raising Committee have been investigating the purchase of a Defibrillator for the Club.  After several enquires,  West Midlands Ambulance Community Officer , Noel Orbell will be bringing a De-Fib to the Club in April under their Community De-Fib Scheme for Free scheme. This is superb as a De-Fib can cost around £1,500 inc VAT to purchase.   Kington Golf Club warrants a free De-Fib under this Scheme because of its rural location.

Several members will receive free training from Noel Orbell.

The Social & Fund raising team are organising an outdoor temperature controlled box to house the Defib and this will allow access for not only the Club members but also the general public, walkers etc.

Details of how to access the box will be given to all members once it has been installed.

Summer Ball at Downton, Saturday, July 11

We still have a few tables left for the Summer Ball.   Please don't feel that you have to book an entire table of ten - you can simply book two tickets if you wish. If you would like to book please contact Niki Scott, Marcel Veillet or Mary Hill.

Terry Weight  is in the groove as he has followed his February Hole in One with a second one in March. This time the feat was achieved on the 18th where he was able to see the ball enter the hole and savour the moment. Well done Terry.
Pip Frost, who is currently the Lady Vice Captain is taking part in the Hereford Half Marathon to raise funds for the St Michael's Hospice which is the current Joint Captains Charity. Sponsorship forms are behind the Bar. Pleas do support her - running any sort of Marathon takes a lot of preparation and hard work. We all wish Pip well on Sunday 10th May.
A happy band of players spent 2 glorious days at Aberdovey. The trip was organised in impecable style by Glyn Wictome and the players were complementary of the course although the 12th  is still missing. Winners on Day1 were 1st Andy Edey, 2nd Terry Weight, 3rd Glyn Wictome. On Day 2 the pairs winners were Paul Finch and Terry Weight.

AND FINALLY:

A little boy was doing his Maths homework. He said to himself "two plus five that son of a bitch is seven. Three plus six, that son of a bitch is nine .............". His mother heard what he said and gasped "what are you doing?" The little boy answered "I am doing my Maths homework, Mum. "And this is how your teacher taught you to do it?" the mother asked. "Yes", he answered.

Infuriated , the mother asked the teacher next day "What are you teaching my son in Maths?" The teacher replied "right now we are learning addition". the mother asked "and you are teaching them to say two plus two that son of a bitch is four" After the teacher stopped laughing she answered, " what I taught them was two plus two THE SUM OF WHICH is four!"
